The Sea Divers are a independent (501c) nonprofit advanced recreational SCUBA diving club based in in Southern California. We schedule 12+ boat dives a year on some of the best Southern California dive boats; the Peace, the Magician, the Horizon, and the Sea Bass which include food and air fills. We reserve bunks/staterooms for our members on all overnight and multi-day trips. We dive advanced and intermediate locations for the experienced diver that offer the best hunting and photographic opportunities found in Southern California and possibly the world. 5. Harvey Schmiedeke of California
Ships To Reefs will present a visual update on his
program to make artificial California reefs from unwanted

Fletcher and John Forbes of The Sea Divers will
present a program about diving Truk. John
and Fletcher have both been diving for over 20 years and
taking underwater pictures for almost as long. They
dive our local waters in the summer and fall, but have
to admit that their preference is warm water diving.
Since they both retired three years ago, they have made it
their mission to dive in as many great dive sites as their
frequent flier miles and pocketbooks will allow!
A few years ago, John made the switch to video and
Fletcher to digital, using a Nikon D200 with Subal and
Inon. This past May, they traveled to Palau
and Truk Lagoon. They are already planning a return
trip to Truk, a place they consider one of the unique
dive destinations in the world.

Dale
Sheckler will talk about the California diving scene
or some other very relevant topic relating to local diving.
Since 1984, Dale has been Editor of the California Diving
News http://www.cadivingnews.com,
the only publication dedicated to California Scuba Divers.
Many of his beautiful underwater pictures grace the pages of
this publication. He has also created and organizes the
annual Scuba Show with the last event on June 21-22 at the
Long Beach Convention Center http://www.scubashow.com/

On Saturday
afternoon starting at 2 p.m. there will be a special
TSD Bouillabaisse
Bash at the Port Royal Marina and Yacht Club in Redondo
Beach. Master Chef Allen Parker will once again prepare the
traditional bouillabaisse and Cathy Mueller will coordinate
the reunion

Bob Meistrell of DiveNSurf and Body Glove
will present stories
about local diving. Bob is the co-founder of DiveNSurf http://www.divensurf.com/

He discovered local stone anchors. He may talk about
development of the wet suit or the starting of his dive
store or goals in life or ????. So
come and enjoy an informative and fascinating presentation
about his experiences, life and career. He encourages
questions.

video she made about diving in Malpelo/Cocos/Galapagos,
Papua New Guinea and Indonesia/Raja Ampat. Susan is an
expert in dive travel to the remote corners of the
world.

3. Karl Huggins, Program
Manager of the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber and

will give a presentation about diving safety. Karl was also
co-developer of the Edge Dive Computer. If you want a direct
